Sheque Perfection

Higgs explained that she has fallen in love with and has been engaged in the art of make-up for as long as she could remember, noting that she began to further develop and perfect her interest in 2000.

"While in undergraduate college, I was the “go to girl” for make-overs for any event that was happening on campus. I began buying books written by veterans in the business such as Bobbi Brown and Sam Fine. I became a subscriber to various fashion magazines including Elle, In Style, Essence and Marie Claire."

"I lived in Chicago for two years while attending graduate school. I would sign up for major department store events where professional make-up artists and celebrity make-up artists would give make-overs and offer tips on how to perfect the art," Higgs said.

She noted that she would also attend paid events such as the "Essence Total You Tour" to learn about skin care and make-up. She told The SUN Newspaper that she was delighted to work with Jasmine Guy. "She’s fun! We listened to a Jill Scott CD and sang out loud as I was working. I hope to work with her and other celebrities in the future," Higgs noted.
